Skin, aesthetics and hair

Aesthetic and skin consultations

Aesthetic and skin consultations begin with assessment, suitability and realistic expectations, not a public treatment menu or a promise that treatment is right for everyone.

Start here if

Start here for skin quality, redness, acne, rosacea, hair loss, collagen change, texture, pigmentation, skin maintenance or aesthetic planning in a clinical setting.

Who this is for

Is aesthetic and skin consultations the right starting point?

A service category is a starting point, not a diagnosis. The clinician may recommend a different appointment, referral, follow-up or preparation step after review.

Skin and aesthetic planning

Discuss goals, skin history, previous treatment, reactions, sun exposure, downtime, medicines, allergies and whether a staged plan is appropriate.

Regulated treatment discussions

Some prescription-only cosmetic medicines and related pricing cannot be promoted publicly and are discussed after assessment.

Medical overlap

Hair loss, acne and skin changes may overlap with women’s health, hormones, medicines or other medical concerns.

What to expect

Process and preparation

The exact appointment depends on symptoms, preparation, suitability and clinician judgement.

Appointment process

Concern review and goals

The consultation begins with your concern — skin texture, redness, volume change, ageing, pigment, scarring or maintenance — and what you hope a treatment plan can achieve. Realistic outcomes are discussed honestly.

Skin assessment

A structured assessment covers skin type, Fitzpatrick classification, current condition, previous treatments and reactions, sun exposure, medicines, allergies and any planned events that affect timing.

Mapping concerns to treatment categories

Concerns are mapped to suitable treatment categories — for example collagen induction, radiofrequency, platelet-rich plasma, chemical peels, injectable volume replacement or a combined plan. Some prescription options are described in consultation rather than online.

Personalised plan and pricing

A staged plan is proposed, with expected response, session frequency, recovery, maintenance and costs. You decide whether to start, stage, defer or decline — there is no pressure to proceed.

Preparation

Bring treatment history

Previous treatments, reactions, current skin care, medicines, allergies, photos of changes over time and upcoming events can help.

Think about limits

Downtime, budget, comfort, timing and whether you would prefer no treatment are useful to discuss.

Safety and expectations

Risks, limits and aftercare

Read the limits and aftercare notes before booking so the next step matches your concern and urgency.

Risks and limitations

Suitability depends on assessment

No cosmetic treatment suits every patient. Skin type, medical history, medicines, sun exposure, recent treatments and goals all affect what is appropriate.

Results vary and take time

Collagen change, pigment improvement and skin quality treatments typically develop over weeks to months. A series of sessions with maintenance is usually needed.

Pigment risk in darker skin types

Certain energy-based treatments carry a higher risk of temporary hyper- or hypopigmentation in darker skin types. Settings and treatment choice are adjusted accordingly, and some treatments may be deferred.

Regulated options need consultation

Some prescription cosmetic medicines cannot be promoted publicly in Australia. Suitability, risks and pricing for those options are discussed only after individual assessment.

Aftercare and follow-up

Sun protection

Daily broad-spectrum sun protection is the single most important step after any skin treatment. It supports results, reduces pigment risk and protects long-term skin health.

Follow the staged plan

Skin treatments work best when the agreed schedule is followed. Stopping prescription treatments early or skipping sessions usually reverses gains.

Review and adjust

Progress is reviewed at follow-up. The plan can be adjusted as results emerge, sensitivity changes or goals shift.

Call for unexpected symptoms

Contact the clinic for unexpected swelling, blistering, severe pain, signs of infection or symptoms that do not match what you were told to expect.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

What is a consultation-first approach?

Consultation-first means we assess your skin, history, goals and suitability before recommending any treatment. There is no public treatment menu — and no assumption that treatment is right for everyone.

What kinds of treatments do you offer?

Skin treatment categories include radiofrequency (Divine Pro), microneedling and radiofrequency needling, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), injectable volume replacement, chemical peels, LED light therapy, and prescription topical or oral medicines. The right combination depends on assessment.

Why are some treatments not named on this page?

Some prescription-only cosmetic medicines and related public pricing cannot be promoted publicly in Australia. Suitability and options for those treatments are discussed during your consultation.

Can I choose a treatment from the website?

The website helps you reach the right consultation, but treatment suitability depends on assessment. Patients often leave consultation with a different — or simpler — plan than they expected.

Are prices listed?

Consultation fees and most non-restricted treatment fees are shown on the fees page. Pricing for prescription cosmetic options is discussed during consultation.

What if I am unsure whether the concern is medical or aesthetic?

Use the booking page. Some concerns — such as hair loss, acne, scarring or skin changes — may overlap with women’s health, hormones or medicines.

Do you treat darker skin types?

Yes. Skin assessment includes Fitzpatrick skin type, and treatment plans are adjusted to reduce the risk of pigment change. Some heat-based treatments are deferred or replaced with safer alternatives.
